UPCOMING EVENTS & TRAINING

Happy 125th Birthday! November 28th: The NBEW is officially organized on this date in 1891. The National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers becomes the International Brotherhood when Canadian locals begin to join in 1899.

Today: Peoria’s long time home for organized labor needs your help. It has been 24 years since it’s last renovation, so the Peoria Labor Temple is in need of major repairs. In 1918, nearly a century ago, union workers bought up 2100 shares for $10 each to purchase the current property. This was when the average worker’s wage was about $1 an hour. Now it’s our turn and the goal is $50,000. To learn more and make a secure donation, click HERE
